You can also see a Nurse here for your Long Term Condition review (Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, IHD, Stroke, AF & Heart Failure) or a cervical smear test or contraceptive pill check. 

6.30pm - 8.00pm weekdays or 10.00am - 4.00pm Saturdays

Wigan GP Alliance provide cytology appointments every weekend from 10:00 – 16:00.

The sessions are held at either  Ashton Medical Practice or Pennygate Medical Centre.

Register for our online service so you can:-

  • Book, Cancel or view your Appointments

    You can log on to book an appointment with a GP, cancel your appointment or view your appointments.

  • Request a Repeat Prescription

          Use the service to request your repeat prescription. Allow 48 hours before collecting your

          prescription.

          Please note: Only items that are on your repeat prescription may be ordered via the online ordering

          system.

  • View some aspects of your medical record

          From 1 April 2016, you will be able to apply to look at part of your GP record online.  This will include

          allergies, immunisations, test results and illnesses.  

It is important that you read our patient leaflet before applying for access to the above services. 

Please ask at reception for a leaflet and application form.

Applications must be submitted with two forms of ID, as listed in the patient leaflet.
