You can also see a Nurse here for your Long Term Condition review (Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, IHD, Stroke, AF & Heart Failure) or a cervical smear test or contraceptive pill check. 

6.30pm - 8.00pm weekdays or 10.00am - 4.00pm Saturdays

Wigan GP Alliance provide cytology appointments every weekend from 10:00 – 16:00.

The sessions are held at either  Ashton Medical Practice or Pennygate Medical Centre.

Medicines and Your Kidneys

Whilst tablets are good for your medical condition, if your body becomes short of fluid

(dehydration), the following medicines can sometimes stop your kidneys from

working as they should:-

Captopril, Losartan, Metformin, Ibuprofen, Bendroflumethiazide, Candesartan, Perindopril, Celecoxib, Meloxicam, Eplerenone, Enalapril, Ramipril, Diclofenac, Naproxen, Indapamide, Irbesartan, Valsartan, Etoricoxib, Piroxicam, Spironolactone, Lisinopril.
